Finally! The weather this week has felt like fall. The humid Southern heat has moved over to make way for the blustery coolness of the season. The leaves have felt it too because I saw many cascading from the trees yesterday.

Fall always puts me in a mood to bake! As the temperatures and the leaves begin to drop, I like to keep the kitchen--the heart of our home--warm by firing up the oven. Anyone else? Recipes steeped in tradition and filled with memories are always my favorites! Below you'll find several timeless desserts to make this autumn. There's pie, dessert squares, cookies, and more!
