"Look this way, Miss Priss." I can still hear daddy calling those words out to me as he'd click his camera. My dad was always taking photos of us when I was growing up.
Birthdays...
ripping into presents at Christmas...
my sister and I playing in a summer rain with our pink and blue umbrellas...
sitting in our mother's lap on the blue floral couch they used to own...
riding a bike for the first time...
hunting eggs at Easter...
running beneath the Georgia pines...
visiting grandparents...
giggles between sisters...
smiles and joy!
He captured it all!
Mama would take some pictures too. Although she left most of the family picture-taking to my dad, she had once been a writer and photographer for a newspaper.
I guess it was inevitable that I'd grow to love taking photos too. I'm the historian in our family, and I relish opportunities to take and share photos that tell the story of our lives.
Do you also enjoy capturing those precious memories on camera? I've shared a few tips I've picked up along the way on the Knoxville Moms Blog...
Great tips! I need all the help I can get. Pinned. Lou Lou Girls
