What's a girl to do with
pounds and pounds of freshly picked strawberries? Why bake something delicious, of course! I made this treat diary-free so my youngest could enjoy a little too. His severe milk allergy--
diagnosed when he was just a month old--has altered many of our family's eating habits, but this recipe can easy be changed to include regular milk and butter for those who do not need something that is dairy-free. Let me tell y'all... It turned out so moist and delicious! In true Southern fashion,
Lydia Grace and I enjoyed some out on the porch one day while we chatted about the day. Want to try it for yourself?

What is your favorite strawberry recipe? I'd love to hear about it!
Happy baking!
I love strawberries in any fashion. I love making my own cool whip. I'll put together a simple strawberry shortcake with a store bought cake, strawberries on top, and my own cool whip. Man I'm craving that right now. I think I might have to make a store run in the morning.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds fantastic, Ashley!
DeleteYum. Looks great! I love the simple strawberry pie where you cook the pie crust, boil up some strawberry junket, mix the fresh strawberries into the junket, pour into the prepared shell and chill. Simple and strawberrylicious!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds wonderful!
