Recently I put together a Trail Mix Station for them to make a trail mix snack with the ingredients of their choice. Come take a look...
What You'll Need:
tray
plastic containers
bowls and spoons for each child
trail mix ingredients (Can include: cereal, nuts, raisins, dried fruit, granola, dark chocolate bits, snack seeds like praline pumpkin seeds or honey roasted kernels...)
Directions:
Place your ingredients in plastic containers and put them on a tray along with bowls and spoons. Let each child use their spoon to put together and mix the ingredients they want into their bowl.
Here's what Lydia Grace--with her mouth full of trail mix--thought of this FUN with FOOD activity...
We had a couple of friends over on this day. Here's the aftermath of five kiddos enjoying the trail mix station. I think it was a success!
Wouldn't this be fun at a party too? It's similar to the yogurt bar I did at this party.
Happy eating!
We LOVE trail mix here at home! :) Thank you for the inspiration! And thank you for linking up with The Natural Homeschool! :)
