Word of the Year for 2014

In 2012, it was LIVE. (John 10:10) I wanted to live a full life--enjoying every moment.
In 2013, it was STAND. (Psalm 18:32-33 & Ephesians 6:13-14) After losing daddy, that's all I knew to do--just stand.
This year my word for the year is...
I feel the need to simplify. Perhaps this feeling has stemmed from the rush and chaos that surrounded the holiday season...
But I have a true longing to SIMPLIFY my life...

To aspire to live quietly...
1 Thessalonians 4:11

To be still...
Psalm 46:10

I don't know exactly what this journey will look like, but I'll share updates on it from time to time. Every journey needs a beginning, so I'll start with a simple prayer for God to guide my steps in the coming year.

Do you have a word for the year?  I'd love to hear it!

Happy New Year!
