Educational Thanksgiving Activities for Little Ones

Our theme for "Mommy School" this week is T is for turkey!  Here are a few printables that I made using PicMonkey!  Feel free to use and enjoy them with your own little ones...

Writing Readiness
Print this page off, so the kiddos can trace the letters with their finger.  Then have them use it as a guide to practice writing the letter T on individual dry erase boards or chalkboards.

Arts & Crafts
Cut out the rectangles.  The top tab for each piece can be folded over and glued down with a piece of yarn or string in the fold.  Put the letters together on the string to spelling T-H-A-N-K-S-G-I-V-I-N-G!  The finished product is a cute Thanksgiving Day banner!  This activity boosts fine motor skills (cutting, pasting, folding), letter recognition skills, and creativity!

Colors and Matching
The individual squares can each be cut out to create a fun matching game.  Or you can cut out and glue the matching pieces beside each other on another piece of paper.

Felt Board Poem
Here is a fun poem, as well as, pieces that can be placed on a felt board as the poem is read.  You can use mine as a template to cut out your own pieces of colored felt, or you can glue a small piece of felt to the backs of the printed cutouts allowing them to stick to a felt board.  Don't have a felt board?  Not a problem!  Click here for a tutorial!

And one final activity...
What are you thankful for?

Happy Thanksgiving!
