"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
My daddy went on to be with the Lord at 1 a.m. this morning while surrounded by his family. Please remember us in your prayers as we go through this difficult time.
I am so sorry for your loss, Jenn. My thoughts and prayers are with your family!

Wow, I am sorry for your family! Our loss is his gain if he's dancing down the streets of gold in Heaven! (which I know is so much easier to say than go through...) How precious that he got to walk his daughter down the aisle though. My heart is so sad for you...I can't imagine losing my dad but I suppose it's bound to happen to all of us. Prayers are going your way for you and your family.

ReplyDeleteOh Jennifer, my heart just broke for you. I'm so grateful for a merciful loving Heavenly who has promised us the we will see our loved ones again. It still doesn't entirely make up for the fact that we miss them, but at least we can know that we'll be with them again. God Bless You and your family my beautiful friend.
ReplyDeleteDear Heavenly Father,
ReplyDeleteI ask that you will surround Jennifer and her family with love and support and comfort in a way that only you can.
We are so grateful that her father was able to be surrounded by family in his final moments, that he was able to meet his grandchildren. We pray for your loving arms to wrap her up and fill her with peace. May you surround her with people who can bless her more than she ever thought possible.
In your heavenly name we pray, AMEN.
Oh, Jennifer.. I know no words can make you really feel better right now, but my thoughts are with you. I am so, so sorry for your loss..
ReplyDeleteHugs to you!

ReplyDeleteBlessings to you and your family Jennifer. I am a kindermusik mom who has been following your blog and your journey since Sam and LG were in class together. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My mom has battled terminal breast cancer for several years, and I dread the day that I face what you are facing now. I love Steph's comment above, "Know that your future with him is so much longer than your past has been." I'm praying God's peace will envelop you as you celebrate your Dad's life and grieve this temporary separation.
ReplyDeleteYou and your family are in our prayers, Jennifer.
