*For children who are able, you can mix the items up and have them glue each item to the correct section making this a great learning activity. You and your child could even go on a scavenger hunt through the house looking for more items to add to each color section. Lydia Grace loved sorting through and choosing from all of the items I had laid out for her. I used beads, google eyes, foam pieces, paper cut outs, shells, and other small crafts items that were easy for her to glue. For children who haven't mastered the skill of using glue, you can put several dots of glue down for them and just have them place the items onto the dots.

lots of great ideas - especailly loving the idea of doing pinwheels in foam - I also came up with a way you can do them without the tricky rod - not sure if they'd work with foam, but I think so:
