Do you remember the cape I made for Lydia Grace's Little Red Riding Hood Halloween costume? Here's a picture...
Well, I don't know what I was thinking when I bought the material for that cape, but I ended up with yards more than I needed. I have been racking my brain with what to do with all of the red and white polka dotted fabric I used for the lining and the bright red felt I used for the outside of the cape. (Oops...I just gave myself away. I didn't use wool for the cape. I cheated and went for a high quality felt instead. Hey, it was so much cheaper.) The point is that I have way too much left, so I had to come up with a solution...
It's a CRAFTY CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN! I am going to use these fabrics to make 12 Christmas crafts and handmade gifts. You know the song, The Twelve Days of Christmas? Well, I have the 12 Crafts of Christmas. On December 1, the first creation will be posted followed by a tutorial for it on December 2. The rest of the days leading up to Christmas will alternate between a craft and its tutorial. Sound like a good idea? Great! Because I would love for you to craft and create right along with me. Go find some fabric and felt that you have way too much of and look for the first craft to appear on December 1!
Oh my gosh, the little red ridding hood cape, is way too cute!!!
