Family Photos

A couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine did a family photo session for our little family of three.  This had been scheduled for awhile and despite having just had our second consecutive miscarriage a few days prior, Tim and I felt like it was important to keep the date and still have the pictures taken.  It was the first time we had been out of the house as a family since the miscarriage, and it was refreshing to be out in nature surrounded by some of God's beautiful creation.  To be honest with you, it was the first time I had smiled in days.  When I look at these pictures, I think about the emotions Tim and I were feeling that day--joy at being so blessed to have each other and Lydia Grace mixed with sadness at the loss we had just experienced.  Laughing together, smiling, and hugging on Lydia Grace was our way of saying that we are strong and are going to get through this because we have each other and God is with us.

I hope you enjoying scrolling through these pictures.  I absolutely love them and think Lori Johnson, our photograper, did a great job!  She was so patient photographing a toddler that just wanted to run and play.
