Homeschool Room

Do you remember our little den that I shared with you last spring? It's been a confused space through the years having served as a "man cave" for Tim prior to having kids and later a bonus room as our family continued to grow. It's too big to be a mud room and too small to be a full-sized den. Since August it's had a new identity though. It has become our schoolroom.

I wanted the room to maintain its cozy feel while still housing schoolroom elements like a vintage desk, chalkboards, globe, storage cart, and school supplies. Although the room is mostly finished, I have plans to change out the hangings on the back wall for something else. Even so, I wanted to go ahead and share it with you today. The pictures were snapped in September, but it's taken me a little while to get them up. There are just shots of the space in the midst of the daily buzz of life--kids running around, cleaning supplies left sitting after being used to clean-up a spill from breakfast, and the schoolroom ready to be put to use! So here it is! Our homeschool space...
 Happy homeschooling!

    1. Hi Lisa! The roll of paper came from Ikea. The wooden rack was $6.99 and the paper rolls were $4.99. Amazing deals!

  5. Where did you get the desk? It's awesome. Did you paint it or did it come like that? If you painted it, what is the color and brand name? Where did you get the white cloth and black iron container that's on the floor by the couch? Thanks!

    1. Hey! I love that desk too. It's a vintage desk that has been painted gray and seafoam. I don't remember the exact brand. The cloth and black iron container came from Ikea. :)
